Website Outage
The website went down for a few days due to exceeding my bandwidth limit (50gb monthly).  I am happy that so many like the web page and I have increased the site limit by 5gb.  Hopefully that will hold over until my bandwidth limit resets.

Website Update
I am removing the flash globe in the upper right corner from several pages.  It is a bandwidth pig and causes pages to load slower.  It will take some time to get them all off, but the process has begun.  Let us have a minute of silence for its departure...

An Image Gallery update will be posted when my bandwidth returns.

Horizons
It was bound to happen sooner or later.  Someone created an online game that I really like.  I don't normally have time for "gaming", but this holiday season I am making some me time.  Anyway, the game is really good game by online standards.  I have been enjoying it so far and would recommend it to others looking for a new game.

If you see me (Raith) on the Life server, say hi.

 "Offshoring"
If you don't know what this is, you probably aren't a tech worker.  If you are a tech worker, you should be concerned.  "Offshoring" is the term used for companies relocating American tech jobs overseas.  Like the blue collar work in the 70s and 80s, big business (and even little business) are moving jobs over to India, Asia and Russia at an astonishing rate.  It is likely 25% of tech jobs performed by American companies will be done overseas by 2008.

Corporations did a number on blue collar jobs and will likely do the same thing to tech jobs.  With the massive influx of "unskilled" labor driving what is left of the blue collar wage down and the shipping out of service jobs, where do these companies think they are going to sell their merchandise?

It still amazes me that upper management in companies like Enron and Global Crossing are going to get away with stealing (or losing) billions of dollars.  Furthermore companies like Dell, IBM (which is scheduled to move 4,700 jobs to Asia over the next year), and HP are moving jobs overseas faster than a cheetah on cocaine.  Well screw this I say.  What we need to do is figure out how to "Offshore" management jobs.  I think the bean counters and mid-upper level management who are over priced salesmen or detached accountants need a dose of there own medicine.  Take this idea and run with it I say.  Lets create tens of thousands of executive jobs paying 40k a year in India.

Website Update
Nothing going on the webpage today or recently.  I am busy at work and busy playing my new game.  I do have another large gallery post that will be hitting before Christmas so check back then.

11/19/2003

Website Update
I have updated the galleries with a large post of new pics.  Lots of new news babes for sure.  Check out the Gallery History for the specifics of the update.

New Review
BestCrypt is a great little product for protecting private data on a hard disk.  Check out the Jetico BestCrypt Review for a quick overview of the software.

Work Update
I am going to borrow a quote to describe my work schedule:  "I am busier than a five dollar hooker!".  Work is going pretty well.  We are still struggling to get the software fully live on all our customers, but I would say for an initial release of such a large application it has been pretty good.

Personal Life
Did you read the Work Update above?  I don't have one.  No woman and no time.  If you have either to spare, send it along.  Thanks... Cam.

Website Update
I created a new web section called Product Reviews.  This new section will contain various products I have put through some paces.

Gallery Update... I have been stockpiling and I will be putting up a large gallery update in the coming days.  Keep your eyes peeled.

New Review
At our current company we purchased two new Sager laptops.  Check out the Sager 5680 Laptop Review page for a quick write up.

Website Update
Been super busy, but managed to post a decent gallery update.  Check out the Gallery History for the specifics of the update.

Work Update
Things have been going gang busters here at work.  Finally having money coming in the front door after a long development cycle is nice.  Still have a long way to go before the money is piling up, but everyone has to start somewhere.

No Air?!?
I found out this weekend just how big a wimp I am.   My air conditioning went out on Thursday leaving me very hot for three wonderful days.  85 indoors is just too hot for me.  They finally got out and fixed it, but not before I lost ten pounds.

The South Has Fallen
I realized this weekend that I am living in the last generation of the Southern Bell...  at least here in Georgia.  I know of only three women that actually have a beautiful southern drawl that is natural.  I fear much is lost in the way of Southern Culture and we are truly at the end of a spectacular culture.

On a personal note: when a woman rolls words from her lips with that wonderful accent, I become instantly infatuated.  The accent makes everything they say like poetry to me.  It calms me.  For this reason, I cannot tell you how sad it made me when I realized entire generations will grow up with the semi-California Valley Girl accent from MTV.  Like... it totally grates on me.

Cool New Gizmo
The Tango is here people.  An electric car that goes 0-60 in 4 seconds and has about 1000 foot pounds torque on tab at standstill.  It gets about 80 miles per charge and you can fit two in a typical parking spot.  The downside is the 80k price tag, but hey that can only come down.

Hacker Day... Yawn!
Sunday was hacker day.  Did you notice anything strange?  Me neither.  Real hacking is in a slump if you ask me.  Kids have lost their interest in real hacking for the most part.  Maybe one day hacking will have a resurgence and we will get a Renaissance.

I have mixed feelings about hacking these days.  Hacking game systems and Tivos seems pretty cool to me, but hacking business websites is wrong and the hacking community should not be encouraging it.  Everyone in this country should have the ability to run a business without fear of malicious attacks.

Website Update
I fixed the images under Audio/Video.  They should all now be visible.  Also fixed a variety of links on several pages.  Many of the links were broken.  I am sure I still have plenty on the Fun Page, but I will save that overhaul for another day.

06/24/2003 - Part Two

Holy Hulk Crap Batman!
I am a huge fan of movies and about half the time when my friends are walking out of a movie talking about how much it sucks, I probably was the one person who liked it.  However after sitting through an hour of Hulk and realizing I hadn't actually seen the Hulk or really any setup for seeing the Hulk, fatigue set in.  Fatigue only a long ass movie that meanders more than a rabbit with a bottle rocket shoved... well you get the idea.  This movie is all over the place except where it should be.  I thought I was going to see an action movie...  you know The HULK!  I thought there would be cool scenes I hadn't seen in the commercials... guess what... you have seen all the action if you have seen the trailer.  Instead of an action movie, you get a lame love story that lays there like a sixty year old hooker and is about as exciting.  Avoid this flying green turd regardless of the reviews.

Website Update
I have updated the galleries with a modest post of new pics.  Lots of new news babes for sure.  Check out the Gallery History for the specifics of the update.

The rest of the web counters should be gone and web pages should be loading a bit faster as a result.

06/24/2003 - Part One

Doom Goes Mobile
All I can say is that I want one! This is just genius.  A company is planning on a release of Doom that works on cell phones.  Doom on a phone sounds fun, but this isn't the Doom your daddy played.  This Doom is a REAL first person shooter.  You actually shoot other Doom players in real life using your phone.  How cool is that?!?

Speaking of Mobile Phones
I had this great idea the other night and I think Electronic Arts should just go ahead and pay me a million bucks for the idea right now.  They should release classic C64 and older PC games onto the PDA.  The genius is that they own the copyrights, the games will readily run on the processors, and they will run within the memory limits.  Imagine getting to play Bards Tale or Mail Order Monsters on your PDA or PDA phone.  Excellent!

Want my vote?
This has to be said about our political process... yawn...

I was watching a round up of political hopefuls once again spout their useless political jargon and spouting off about taking back America.  Some were yelling about how the president was a liar.

My generation is the first "commercial" generation.  We see through BS faster than a politician on an intern... well almost as fast.  The reason the Democrats are "losing control" is simple... they haven't figured out that content is king.  A slick message just isn't going to do it.  You want my vote.  Step up.  Here are some ideas worth trumpeting for the politicians out there:

E85 is the first order of business.  It is 85% alcohol and 15% gasoline.  E85 is cheaper to make and the alcohol is all home grown from corn and wheat mostly.  It burns very clean, increases performance, fuels just like gas, costs less, and of course greatly reduces our dependence on foreign oil.  The downside is a small adjustment to some car parts that total a bottom line cost around 300 bucks a car and you lose about 5% of mileage.  Basically, all the advantages of gasoline without most of the drawbacks.

Another good topic is the Homeland Defense department.  What color is it today anyway?  I never thought in my life I would see another department created in the government that was almost as big as the military.  Don't even get me started on the fact that a Republican did it.  Homeland Defense should be a cabinet position with various agencies reporting to it rather than one vast agency.

Fry Enron executives campaign!  This should be a top priority.  Rich people getting richer by lying and cheating their way through life.  If 1 billion isn't enough and you feel the need to stick it to the working class for another billion, guess what... meat bubba in prison and no meat isn't misspelled.

If you are a politician and want my vote, back these three topics and you have it.  You also have a real foundation to preach from rather than more of the same useless gibberish.

How much do you love me?
Apparently a lot.  Thanks to you all for emailing me a happy birthday.  I am not the kind of person who needs email love, but I am always glad to get it.

Cell Phone Passion
Has Treo created the greatest phone ever?  The Treo 300 is really cool, but the Treo 600 will rule the world.  I am not really a cell phone guy, but games on a phone is just cool and palm games on a phone is very cool.  Throw in a camera and you get supreme coolness.  Is that enough goober speak with the cool for you?

Worthy News
Red Hat making money?  Can open source actually work?  Could Linux rule the world?  Yes, Yes, No.   Congrats to Red Hat.  Open Source works when it is free unless the evil closed source community presses on with injunctions against Open Source products.  Lastly, Linux will never rule the world.  Sorry Unix peeps, MS is here for the long haul.

How much does MS Suck?
Buying new servers at the office and the cost of the OS/SQL Server is more than the hardware!  When did that happen?  I have never made bones about being a M$ hater and they aren't winning any friends over here.  Unfortunately, they do have some of the better products.  All I can say is go Open Office and go Firebird.

Super Candy
I have hit gold people!  Head to the Candy Warehouse and pickup some of  Wrapped Super Sour Tear Jerkers and Super Sour Fruit Drops (better than Warheads).

Best New Invention
The nipple top from Gatorade.  I don't know what its real name is, but Gatorade went all natural on us.  Someone at Gatorade Corp must have been sucking all the right places one night and had an epiphany.  In my fantasy, it was girl on girl but that is another story.

Life Update
I am now 32.  Woohoo!  I feel like I am just getting better with age.  It isn't true... I figure if I keep saying it, it might come true.  This has been a great year for me and I can only hope this upcoming one is just as good.

My 401k that took a pounding for about three years is finally going positive.  I am no longer underwater on it.  Yes!

Worthy News
Proof that video card manufacturers are as stable as a two legged table: MS has selected ATI to be the X-Box 2s new graphics card.  Along with NVidia getting caught cheating AGAIN... and yes  I am referring to the incident after FutureMark's recantation.  Congrats NVidia!  You screwed 3DFx and yelled at ATI for benchmark cheating.  Now you know how it feels.

Intel produced its 1 billionth processor and MS said quits to Mac browsing.  Hmmm... Wintel is still going strong.

Sad News
I was checking out my favorite shopping sites and found out that Marcia's Confidential Healthcare Store was out of business.  In my more promiscuous days, they had the best selection of bulk condoms around.  Not that I have needed to look up bulk condoms in a while, but it is a shame when a great business closes its doors.

Great Site
I am sick and tired of hearing about Apple's music sharing mainly from TechTV.  Great they have the latest artists and sell music on the web.  However, it doesn't support PCs and it is limited use.  I know all that will be fixed soon enough, but I am here to tell you about something equally if not just outright better...  EMusic!  You get a bunch of free downloads when you sign up and for 10 bucks a month you can download all the music you want.  They have some established bands, a huge selection of oldies, and new bands galore.  I love Punk and if you do too, check out EMusic.

Cam Dating Tips
Dusting off the old date book I feel inclined to share a bit of knowledge with the world.

First date Tip:  Before your date, think of a half dozen or so topics in case the conversation takes a turn to the quiet.  Avoid sex and bad news subjects.  Instead pick some up beat topics that a woman is sure to latch onto.  If you manage to make it through all six topics and need more before the night is out, it is likely there are no sparks flying and it is time to move on.

First Date Tip:  Flowers on a first date are RARELY a good idea.  A single flower can be romantic, but I suggest saving your romance for later dates.  The first date is all about getting to know each other.  Wait for a special occasion or send them after a really great date to setup the next date.  If you choose not to heed my advice, at least don't take red roses.  Bring something a little more tame.  Red roses are a love flower.  Choose something more appropriate like a beautiful Orchid or Lily.  I would avoid red, white, yellow and pink flowers as well (Love, marriage,  treason and pink is just not a good choice for a variety of reasons).  A nice blue flower is always a good choice.

Another Flower Tip:  Go to the store and pick the flowers yourself.  Calling up a florist and shelling out 50+ bucks isn't romantic and doesn't make for a good date story.

More to advice is on its way.

Website Update
My Utah Motorcycle Gallery has been fixed.  Some really nice pics of our dirt bike adventure.

Added a little webpage starring my friend Steve.  It is silly and not funny at all, but check it out.  Help me embarrass my friend.

Put a small page saluting my Katana.  It isn't much, but I have run it hard and it is still ticking.  Can't ask for much more from a bike.

Last change of note is the removal of the web counters from my web site.  It was slowing down the web loads and truth be told it is kind of tacky in my opinion.  It will take some time to remove it completely from the website since it wasn't part of the template.

06/03/2003 - Part 2

Website Update
I finally got off my rear and updated the galleries with a few images.  I will do another one later this month.  Good news is some all new babes for your viewing pleasure.  Check out the Gallery History for the specifics of the update.

06/03/2003 - Part 1

Website Update
Updated my Airsoft Vault.  If you don't know what Airsoft is or you want to see a couple new guns in my collection, check it out.

More B-Day!
My birthday is almost upon us and my wish still isn't here.  Rose McGowan's phone number is still the number one gift request.  I will also happily settle for a call from her.

Cam Opinion - Women aren't easy... unless you are in the upper 20%
Here it is.  My personal opinion about men and women in a nutshell.  This is one of those 99% rules so if you are the exception... well great for you.  Let me just say that I didn't believe this all my life, but after several years of chasing women I found this to be gospel.

There is a theory by some unknown person known as the 80/20 theory.  The theory states that 80% of the women chase 20% of the men.  Digging deeper into the theory we find that men are only as loyal as their options.  Thus 20% of the men that are chased by 80% of the women are cheating.  In addition, the other 80% of the men are trying to get into the upper 20%.  My personal opinion is that this situation is a result of both genetics and conditioning.  For genetics and women, it is millions of years of alpha selection and for men it is simply procreation of the species.  This coupled with the perfect woman served up to us on a platter by ad execs in just about every facet of our lives and romantic movies that create an unreal expectation of men for women, gives you what I believe is the 80/20 rule.

The 80/20 aside, I would like to further discuss women's behavior in general.  It has been my experience women want drama in their lives.  If you gave them a choice between a moderately handsome guy with an average sense of humor that is nice and a guy who is mean and treats them like crap, most women will gravitate to the total ass most of the time.  I have not figured out why this seems to be true, but I am guessing it has something to do with father figure issues, the whole disinterested/interested thing (What is up with that anyway... you aren't interested in a guy unless he isn't interested in you?), or the need to always be yelling or moaning at/with someone.

This subject came up because I am still amazed by women no matter how old I get.  I bet that Scott Peterson fellow will get two dozen marriage proposals from women and probably more if he is found guilty.  Go figure.

BTW, please feel free to send me hate/love mail to cameron@cameroncole.com.  I will happily put any good responses on the website for others to read.

Website Update
Nothing big, but the Old News section has been broken up into two sections.  One for this year and one for last.

Proud Website Papa
First time ever, my website had 6.1 million hits this month with over 50,000 visits.  I pumped well over 40GB of data across the web as well.  The previous record was a few months ago with just over 5 million hits.  I know it isn't a lot, but for a personal webpage I think it is pretty shweet.

B-Day!
My birthday is still coming and I am still waiting on Rose McGowan's phone number.  Come on people...  snap to it.

Update Movie Pick
Seen the Matrix and want more?  This pick will satisfy you.  Equilibrium is a great low budget Matrix type flic.  Gunkata is very cool and the hero is... well... an uber badass.  If nothing else, see this movie for the ending.  Some nice twists in the plot and some great action scenes.  Another wonderful comic book movie.

05/26/2003

Website Update
The About Me section of my website should be fully functional now.  The move from cameorncole.net still has a lot of kinks to work out, but one section at a time.  Let me know if you find anything.

Mo Work
Work is humming right along.  For those in the know, we are about to raise the work performance up another notch.  Things are going great and I believe this is the beginning of a wonderful company.  I hope the launch goes well.

B-Day!
My Birthday is right around the corner (June 8th).  Going to turn 32 and still can't believe someone so juvenile can be so old.  Feeling good about my place in life these days.  Life is really treating me really well.  Great job, wonderful friends, and this is the Year of Cam... what more could I ask for?  < Rose McGowan's phone number comes to mind >

Update Movie Pick
This pick is a strange one... Secretary.  This movie IS NOT for most people.  However if you like a little excitement in life and always wondered what top or bottoming was in a sexual connotation, check the movie out.  I personally enjoyed it immensely, but hey we all know I am a freak.

Update Movie Pick
Angel Season 1 DVD is my update movie pick.  OK sure it isn't a movie and is based off of the cheesy Buffy TV series, but hey it kicks serious butt.  The new Angel season is iffy at best, but if you want good TV crosses into just plain fun check out this DVD.  Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Website  Update
To make up for the down time these last several weeks, you get a new Gallery Update in the same month!  Woohoo!!    Lots of new images and a couple new babes are listed.  Enjoy!.

Work Life
Tired of hearing about my work like?  Tough...  if I have to work all hours, I get to post about it on my webpage.  Anyway, work goes well and I am still enjoying it even if it leaves little me time.

04/15/2003

Galleries Online!
Galleries are now accessible from cameroncole.com.  You can't reach them from cameroncole.net so don't try.  Otherwise everything should be fully functional.

Work Life
Work is still going like crazy.  I am really enjoying the long days, but a part of me is hoping to get back into some kind of goof-off mode.

Website Updates
A bunch of new images have been posted to the website.  Check out the Gallery History for further details.

The new and improved forums for AC Tool are progressing.  Check it out and feel free to send me suggestions or problems.

Update Movie Pick
Kissing Jessica Stein is my pick this time around.  It is a smart and clever comedy.  Don't expect anything great out of this chic flic, but if you like a light hearted romp through the eyes of a woman trying on lesbianism for the first time... well... this would be the flic.  It has a nice sexy edge to it without turning into light porn or a drama that gets all preachy.

04/08/2003

Galleries Offline
Due to massive number of hits on this website (8.7 million last month), my hosting company wants to charge me for excessive bandwidth usage in the future.  For this reason and the fact my hosting costs are pretty high for a personal web page, I am going to be moving to another hosting company shortly.  I will get the galleries back online as soon as I can.

The good news is that I should have a lot more space and a much better price per month on hosting.  So you can expect to see a lot more items in the galleries soon.

Sorry, Cameron.

Work Life
Updates have been sparse because of 80+ hour work weeks.  I wake up, go to work, come home for sleep and repeat.  I haven't been doing anything fun and have been pretty much unreachable to friends and family.  This will continue for some time to come.  Hang in there and don't give up on me.

Soon...
The site is due for an update or two.  I will be getting to this very soon.  Check back over the next few weeks for updates to just about every page.

01/17/2003

Website Updates
A new random image display program has been written.  Surprisingly, I couldn't find anything that would actually scan through the gallery directories and load a non-thumbnail image.  I cannibalized another script to make this one.  If you are interested in it, email me and I will send it to you.

Just click Random Image to get your random gallery image.

I also cleaned up a bunch of the external links on a variety of pages.  Most were not opening into new windows and that should be corrected as well.

01/16/2003

The Holidays
Had a great Christmas and a miserable New Year.  Of course, a woman was/is involved and I am missing her dearly.  Hopefully, she will email me soon to cheer me up.  For my visitors, I hope all of your holiday vacation was wonderful.

My Surgery
FYI, I had surgery last week for a Inguinal Hernia.  The surgery went well. Other than some general soreness, I am doing well and should be back to full speed next week.  Thank you goes to everyone that sent me get well emails.

Cam Opinion - Blame the Bill
I try to keep my political views to myself, but I just can't take it any more.  Let me say that I am NOT a democrat and for the most part never had any real problems with Clinton.  I don't care what he did in his personal life even though it does reflect very poorly on his character (cheating on his wife).  That all said, I have had enough with Junior (George W. Bush) blaming Bill.  Economy goes in the crapper... blame Bill.  9/11...  blame Bill.  Now we have North Korea, yep that is Bill's fault as well.  As for the economy and 9/11, I really don't think either was Bill's fault.  However, I don't think he did much to help the prevent these disasters.

North Korea is Juniors doing IMO.  He creates a list of U.S. targets known as the "Axis of Evil" (just plain stupid).  Then on a personal level denounces the North Korea leader (a HUGE diplomatic fubar).  Now that North Korea has every right to believe they are next after Iraq, they start acting erratically.  I just have to say that North Koreas attitude toward the U.S. is really Junior's fault.  I do understand North Korea is in a bad state of affairs and the leadership is scary to say the least, but don't poke the bear for heaven sakes.  At the very least, wait till you get the number two problem (first is Al Quada and second Iraq) off the list so you aren't dealing with three crappy situations.

After two years, I am tired of passing the buck.  Step up GWB and take some responsibility in your administration.  Now let the flaming begin.

Website Updates
The Delphi Page gets a makeover.  I added in a bunch of new links and fixed some display problems over on the Delphi Page.  You can view the updates here.

Ye Old Shoppe (the old links page to online shops that I use) is gone.  I replaced it with a general Links page that contains a list of cleaned up shopping sites and other sites that I find interesting for one reason or another.  You can visit the new links page here.

Last but not least is a Gallery Update.  Lots of new files and a couple new babes are listed.  Enjoy!

Update Movie Pick
Forbidden Planet is the pick for this month.  In my book, it is one of the great Sci-Fi movies of all time.  It was first shown in 1956, but don't let that dissuade you from a great movie (movies pre 70s usually scare me right off).  The movie is surprisingly up-to-date and has a great story to tell.  Not to mention it is one of the grand father of Sci-Fi movies.
