My Introduction to the Sport

First let me state that I am new to the Airsoft hobby as of this June 2002.  I made it to an event, shot a few people, got shot several times, and fired many different weapons.  Before this, I played a little paintball, but didn't enjoy it very much.  This sport is ENTIRELY different.  What makes this sport cool is the very realistic guns.  So realistic in fact that even up close they can and usually do look like real assault weapons.  Better yet, you get shoot people with fully automatic weaponry while getting shot at.  I have to admit it is a little unnerving to get peppered with about 1000 rounds a minute.

My first purchases were the Airsoft Elite MP5 and the KJW Full Metal M9 pistol.  I have since purchased the armory below.  I am of course always on the lookout for another great airsoft gun as well.

Airsoft Atlanta - They have some excellent prices and are local to me.  The website needs a lot of work, but they are an honest group of people and I have personally visited their store.  I purchased my KJW M9 there.

Blackhawk Industries - These guys are the leader in assault gear.  Their inventory is the highest quality, but it is a bit expensive.  If you can afford it, you will not likely find better.  I spent more than I should have at this site on all kinds of goodies.

Cheaper than Dirt - The name says it all.  I have ordered a couple items from them and they were delivered in a timely manner.  The website needs work, but with those prices who can complain?  Picked up my scope and thigh holster here. 

Extreme Procurement - A UK based supplier.  They make the list because the produce an awesome BLOK helmet.  If you are looking for the ultimate in head protection while playing airsoft, look no further.

Georgia Outfitters - Looking for tiger stripe BDUs?  How about street tiger stripe BDUs?  What if I told you they had a full lineup of BDU styles and sizes for about 50 bucks a suit?  Great place and great prices!  I purchased my BDUs here as well as some other clothing items.  Their tactical belts are the best.   

Ranger Joe's - If you want some quality combat gear at a good price, well you just have to head to this website.  They ship fast and carry a wide assortment of goodies.  Boots and plenty of other field equipment was bought here.
